the art of endings
Very interesting article about the tension between finding closure in an ending to a work of art (mostly talks about films but also music, ballet etc) and forcing an audience to find its own ending and draw its own conclusions.

- wow. how true. so we have some thinking about our beginnings and endings!!!
i think that there are ways of ending a narrative without being pat - that's what I'm most interested in. You feel like, oof we got somewhere, but where... that's still up in the air.
